STANDARD FOSTER CARE
The Standard Foster Care program provides services to male and female children ages birth to age 18 (or 19 years should foster care continue past age 18) who have been abused, neglected, molested or abandoned. This program may also serve drug-exposed infants depending upon the severity of the child's needs and assessment results.
Children in FamiliesFirst Foster Care Services have frequently failed in less restrictive settings or are moving out of institutional care. They present with a variety of challenging behaviors resulting from their abuse and neglect including, but not limited to aggression, manipulation, sexual acting out, temper tantrums, stealing, self-injury, eating and/or sleeping disorders. Each placement receives case management services from a social worker who has contact with the child and family at least weekly. The agency certifies and supervises foster families and provides ongoing support and training.
